River's smokelab is an experimental modern kitchen and bar inspired by smoke and cuisine from all around the world.
As experienced travellers and foodie enthusiasts, we wanted to create a place where flavours from different world cuisines combine with the smell of smoke, and show that you can smoke not only ribs, but also crackling, burrata, celery or pear! We try out new flavour combinations and techniques for preparing food and drinks. We have not forgotten to put a piece of ourselves and a piece of the place we came from into the menu. So you will also find typical Czech flavours that you would think don't belong in a BBQ.
For the Smíchov neighbourhood, we want to be a place where you come to have unique lunch with your colleagues, but also a place where you go for a drink with friends in the evening or where you can have a bachelor party.
Comfortable chairs, sofas, bar tables for two and large tables for a larger group fill the space at River's. So you can share the experience of experimental cuisine with both small and large group of friends. Year-round seating is available with a maximum capacity of 55 people, and in the summer the restaurant offers a front patio overlooking the river.
After many years of collaboration between Michal Šorf, chef at our sister restaurant Garden's, and Lukas Loukotka, his sous chef and right-hand man, Lukas was promoted and under Michal's mentorship became chef at River's. In collaboration with our professional chefs, we aim to provide our guests with a unique dining experience and show them that they can enjoy delicious smoked dishe by professionals at an affordable price, both to go and in our beautiful modern interior, with quality service and exceptional views!
